Solvit HoundAbout Pet Bicycle Trailer is a great way to maintain an active lifestyle with your pet.

New improvement for 2010: The wheelbase has been widened, and lowered, providing more stability while riding and making it easier for pets to get in and out of the cabin. Pockets have been added to carry more gear including cellphone, keys, etc. In addition, the strolling kit now includes a cup holder and parking brake.

If you want to get in a bike ride, but your pet isn’t up to it, you can still take them along. Going to the park to give your pet a little fun and exercise? Why not get some exercise yourself on the trip there and back, without tiring them out along the way? Leashing your pet to the bicycle is inherently unsafe for pets and owners alike - the HoundAbout Bicycle Trailer solves that problem and your pet will love the ride.

The front door on the trailer includes a zippered, mesh screen layer, and a zippered, vinyl layer to block wind and weather. Use them in different configurations depending on riding conditions. A removable, washable cushion keeps pets comfortable on long rides. Includes several storage pockets for keys, phone, leash, water bottle, etc. Assembles quickly and folds down for easy storage.

Hi,

I just wanted to let you know how happy we all are with our new Solvit Houndabout pet stroller. I bought it for 3 of our 5 rescued dogs (4 chihuahuas and 1 miniature poodle), because Lucrezia is old and overheats easily, and Sophie and Friedrich are very unsocialized and timid. I thought it would help with their socialization if I could take them with me when I walk Lana, the poodle. They figured it out quickly and now get so excited when the stroller comes out of the garage - they hop right in and can't wait to get going. The cabin is big enough to easily fit all three of them and it has plenty of "windows" for them to look out. All of our dogs take turns sleeping in the stroller when it is parked out on the patio.

Because we are surrounded by gravel roads I thought plastic wheels wouldn't hold up very long, so these bicycle wheels are perfect. The stroller is quickly disassembled and fits into my little car (along with my husband and the 5 dogs) without a problem - something I was initially worried about. Now we can all go to the coffee shop together!

The dimensions of the cabin on the Large Trailer are 33" x 22" x 26". When fully assembled, the overall trailer dimensions (including wheels and bicycle attachment arm) are 55" x 33" x 33". The wheel size on the Large is 20" and it is suitable for pets up to 110 lbs. With the strolling kit installed, the overall dimensions are The 60" x 33" x 40" (the handle is 39" from the ground.) Large size available in blue only.

The dimensions of the cabin on the Medium Trailer are 26" x 17" x 20". When fully assembled, the overall trailer dimensions (including wheels and bicycle attachment arm) are 46" x 23" x 28". The wheel size on the Medium size is 16" and it is suitable for pets up to 50 lbs. With the strolling kit installed, the overall dimensions are 50" x 23" x 39" (the handle is 39" from the ground.) Medium size available in red only.

Mommy thought it was good for the socialization of my 2 shy siblings Friedrich and Sophie if they got out more so she found this stroller. The cabin fits us 3 chihuahuas comfortably, and the handle bars and wheels come off/on in about a minute. Everything, including daddy and 5 dogs, fit into mommy's tiny hatchback car easily. We go on daily walks and sometimes even the coffee shop with the stroller. Sophie, Friedrich, and I get so excited when mommy gets the stroller out, that we hop right in. We have plenty of space and love the allround view. When the stroller is parked at the house we even sneak in and sleep in it, that's how comfortable it is. Mommy would have awarded 5 stars, but the stroller is very smelly when you first get it (the smell goes away after a few days) and it was hard to install the parking brake. It is so practical with all its pockets and windows so who cares if the neighbors think mommy's a little bonkers - we have an awesome set of wheels!
